Four United States Olympic Gymnasts, Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, McKayla Maroney, and Maggie Nichols testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on September 15th, 2021.  The women detailed how, after clear allegations emerged in 2015, and compaints were made to the FBI, The FBI failed to take action, and in fact, obfuscated the fact that they had failed to take action.
McKayla Moroney described the horrific abuse that she had been subjected to by team "doctor" Larry Nassar, who is now serving a 125 year prison sentence.
The women called for accountability by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and USA Gymnastics for a culture where sexual abuse was allowed to go on for decades.
